If any of you were at the show last night, you’ll understand the greatness that is Madonna.  Never have I seen a concert that was so entertaining, where the choreography was flawless, where I bopped my head and shaked my hips throughout the whole show.  The whole crowd was eating her up.  I bet even those men dragged there by their wives and girlfriends enjoyed the show.  Speaking of the crowd… I have never seen so many diverse, trashy, hideous and fabulous outfits in one night.  It was almost as though some of the women hadn’t left their houses since the early 90’s and had no idea how to dress now.  There were furry boots, plastic trench coats and short shorts.  A collage of bad taste.  It was fantastic.  I whipped my camera out at every opportunity for some sneaky shots (hopefully these will be up later…).

Madonna started the show with a bang in the first of several sexy outfits to show off her ripped bod.  She played the perfect mix of classics and new material.  Each song running seamlessly into the next.  Favourites were Borderline, Get Into the Groove, 4 Minutes and Give It 2 Me, but honestly, they were all excellent.  With each set change, came a new theme.  I particularly enjoyed the sparring boxers and the gypsy party.  The dancers were hot… almost (but not quite) stealing the show from Madonna herself.  I can understand why there’s been so much talk of infidelity in her marriage (make that ex-marriage).  If I were touring the world with men like that, I think I would probably cave and break my vows, more than once.  Everything about Madonna drips sex.  Her movements, her clothing, her voice.  I think even I could be seduced by her.

My biggest surprise was how fit the Material Girl is.  She just turned 50 and she still prances on stage like she’s 25; in fact, she could give most 25 year olds a run for their money.  Her body is a machine - I have never seen thighs or arms like hers before.

The only negative part of the show was the time delay to the big screen.  You couldn’t tell if she was lip syncing or if the acoustics were off.  Oh… and the other negative was leaving the stadium at the end of the show.  It took forever.

Saying the concert was unbelievable is an understatement.  Madonna truly is an entertainer.  The show left me inspired and left me wanting more from my life.  If Madonna can do it, I can too.  I’m going to be a star… a lucky one… ;)
