Madonna's Arena date

Exclusive

January 30, 2009

MADONNA will perform at the M.E.N. Arena in one of only two confirmed British dates this year.

The pop superstar brings her Sticky and Sweet world tour to Manchester in July, before heading to Europe.

It
is only the third appearance 50-year-old Madonna has made in the city
in 25 years, and this time she will be accompanied by trance DJ Paul
Oakenfold.

Madonna first played in the city at the
Hacienda in 1984, her British debut which was filmed for Channel 4
music show The Tube. She returned in 2004 with her sell-out
Re-Invention tour.

The Sticky and Sweet tour came to Europe last year
but did not stop in Manchester. It was the biggest grossing tour in
history for a solo artist, featuring tracks from her latest No 1 album,
Hard Candy, as well as old classics.

Tickets for the
fully-seated July 7 show, which follows a London date, are priced £65,
£85, £110 and £175 and go on sale next Friday. Call 0844 847 8000.

Madonna to perform her only concert in Baltic states in Tallinn

On
August 4 this summer, the famous American musician Madonna will perform
her only concert in the Baltic states at the Tallinn Song Festival
Ground in Estonia, as the concert organizer FBI spokesman Kristaps Karklins told LETA.

The concert in Estonia will be part of Madonna's "Sticky&Sweet Tour".

The concert will be warmed up by one of the world's most famous DJs – Paul Oakenfold.

Altogether, approximately 70,000 tickets will go on sale for
Madonna's show, they will be available in all the three Baltic states
starting from 10 a.m. on March 5.

Madonna started her world tour "Sticky&Sweet Tour" last year and
the tour concerts have already been attended by more than 2 million
people in 58 countries. The tour has turned out to be the most
successful in the artist's career as its profit in 2008 amounted to
approximately USD 280 million. As all the concerts were sold out, the
"Sticky&Sweet Tour" can be considered the most successful solo
artist tour in the history of music business.

Madonna's show in the capital of Estonia will be her first performance in the Baltic states.

FBI director Inga Kadeka underlines that Madonna's
concert will be one of the most outstanding events in the history of
show business in the Baltic states.

The Tallinn Song Festival Ground was chosen as the venue for the
concert because it has a floor capacity for an audience of over 70,000
people.

The "Sticky&Sweet Tour" is organized to promote the singer's
latest album "Hard Candy", which features such singles as "4 Minutes",
"Give It 2 Me", "Miles Away"; the album debuted at number one in 37
countries' album charts.

Members of the FBI concert club will be offered to buy concert tickets already as of March 2, Karklins informed.

Madonna to play in Helsinki in August

First Finnish date had been rumoured for several days

Madonna to play in Helsinki in August

The rumours that had been circulating and gathering strength for several days were confirmed on Friday: Madonna is to play a gig in Helsinki in August. It will be the 50-year-old American star's first visit to Finland.

According to Madonna's official website, she will be appearing in Helsinki's Jätkäsaari on Thursday August 6th.

Tickets for the date in the Sticky and Sweet tour will come on sale on February 9th through Lippupiste, and will be priced at between EUR 99 and EUR 109.

The
promoters Live Nation have rented a site in the former dockland
container storage area in the West Harbour, and it is estimated that it
can hold roughly 80,000.

Demand for tickets is expected to be high, and a limit of six per customer will be imposed.

Recently the Lippupiste servers crashed under the weight of demand for tickets to see Bruce Springsteen in Tampere in June.

Madonna's announcement means that Finland will now witness three veteran pop and rock acts this spring and summer, as in addition to Springsteen, Tina Turner will be showing up for two gigs at the Hartwall Arena in April.

The
summer leg of Madonna's European tour gets under way in London on July
4th, and will include nearby dates in Oslo (30.7.), Tallinn (4.8.),
Gothenburg (9.8.), and Copenhagen (11.8.).

The Material Girl gets her own way, for now at least…

Madonna has won permission to move her and Guy Richie’s two sons to live with her in America – reports The Sun.

The ruling is thought to be a temporary measure, put in place while
the estranged couple attempt to come to a permanent arrangement.

Rocco, eight and three-year-old adopted David will join their mum and sister Lourdes, 12, in New York.

A source close to the negotiations revealed: “Everything is going to be resolved in the next couple of weeks. It's pretty amicable at the moment. Things are progressing.”

Madge and Guy – who were married for nearly eight years – announced their split in October and have so far remained silent about their divorce settlement.

Guy’s father wasn’t quite so discreet earlier this week when he announced he was “very pleased for Guy” that the marriage was over.

He also stated that he was pleased Madge had been linked to "lots of boyfriends" because "she won't be looking for him".

Brave man!

Madonna

The queen of reinvention continues to mesmerise with her multi-faceted
approach to fashion. Sports casual cool, edgy accessories like

still the staple elements of her wardrobe

TOUR DATES: Madonna is expected to tour Australia in September.

source

Now the dust has settled on her divorce, her Madgesty confirmed on her website yesterday she was extending the Sticky And Sweet world tour, The Daily Telegraph reports.

While the official statement confirms she is "looking forward to an amazing summer in Europe", prospective concert dates in Japan and Australia were leaked on her international promoter's site before being quickly pulled.

But not before they were sighted by eagle-eyed fans, who posted the dates on fan blogs.

The leaked itinerary featured four Australian concerts with Madonna scheduled to perform at ANZ Stadium on September 26.

A Madonna show at Telstra Dome has been pencilled in for September 29 and is tipped to be confirmed this week. The Telstra Dome date - a Tuesday - would not clash with the venue's AFL commitments.

Fans may have to shell out $150 for the cheapest seats, given the falling Australian dollar and Madonna's high production costs.

Seats closest to the stage could sell for as much as $400.

The website also listed shows in Brisbane and Perth, as well as Europe and Japan, before being swiftly removed.

The last time Madonna performed in Australia was for the 1993 Girlie Show tour at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Also leaked and then removed from the same Live Nation website were details of the next leg of Britney Spears' world tour - and it looks like the comeback pop princess and Madonna will both be in Australia in September.

Spears was slated to perform three concerts at the neighbouring Acer Arena.

While their proximity would fuel a frenzy of speculation about cameos at each other's shows, it is unlikely Madonna or Spears' jam-packed schedules would allow for an Australian duet.

Local fans and promoters have been willing the dollar to improve to safeguard Australia as a must-do destination on the international touring circuit for the huge stadium acts.

With sales of more than 400,000 tickets for more than 40 shows, Pink has singlehandedly demonstrated that music fans here are determined to be entertained despite hard economic times.

Rock fans remain optimistic that AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica and U2 also add Australian legs onto their international tours this year.

good-riddance.jpg

Guy Ritchie's shit-talking father, John, tells the new issues of In Touch that he's glad his son is no longer with Madonna, and that the divorce could not have proceeded anymore favorably.

In fact, he even went so far as to say, "The worst thing would be if
they reconciled" and is glad that Her Madgesty has "lots of boyfriends"
because "she won't be looking for him."

We think that John Ritchie sounds a little delusional because,
honestly, it will be a cold day in hell when Madonna tries to get back
together with Guy.

Fortunately, according to Daddy Ritchie, "There are no big arguments
between them. All they discuss is the children" and both parties are
content with the custodial arrangement.

Sticky & Sweet 2009!

Madonna's Official Fan Club website is reporting another European leg of Sticky & Sweet in 2009! It's not in the news section. It's under the Tour heading.

Madonna rumored to perform in Serbia

Madonna might perform at Usce

Foreign
music sites have been swamped with unofficial information that Madonna
might continue her “Sticky & Sweet” tour in summer, within which
she will most probably perform in Belgrade on the 26th of August at
Usce.

According to unofficial information, several domestic promoters have
been negotiating about the possible arrival of the pop-queen in Serbia,
while literally all Madonna’s fan sites have confirmed her concerts in
summer (July and August) in Milan, Marseille, London and Belgrade.
Namely, Madonna wants to continue her very successful “Sticky &
Sweet” tour in order to visit the cities where she hadn’t performed
last year. However, it shouldn’t been taken for granted, since the
continuation of her tour hasn’t even been officially confirmed so far.
It should also be taken into account that Madonna doesn’t usually
continue already finished tours. It is also a well-know fact that she
doesn’t have many-year tours with 100-200 concerts like her colleagues,
such as the bands U2 or “The Rolling Stones”.

To remind the readers, Madonna started her “Sticky & Sweet” tour on
the 23rd of August in 2008 in Cardiff and finished it on the 21st
August in Sao Paulo. She performed on the 25th of September last year
at Jaz Beach near Budva and delighted about 40,000 visitors. At first
it was announced that she would have a concert in Belgrade, but after
much speculation, the capital of Serbia didn’t have a chance to
organize the concert, since Budva offered more money. If we don’t take
into account the bad organization and crowd after the concert at Jaz
Beach, Madonna’s concert was excellent and the singer proved to have
been in top form even at the age of 50.

Madonna recently shacked up at Jerry Sienfelds for some A and R

Madonna and New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez have reportedly resumed their relationship. Page Six
reports that the pop queen and A-Rod spent the weekend at the Long
Island mansion of comedian Jerry Seinfeld, a home that they have
visited at together before. Madonna was reportedly not enjoying her
weekend, due to the discarded photos from her Hard Candy album shoot being released last week. "Madonna called up the label screaming when the photos got out," a source says.

Madonna spotted at Palm Beach Equestrian club

Finally, she showed up.

Madonna, who’s been practicing her horse-jumping skills in Wellington for a week, made her first appearance at the Winter Equestrian Festival Sunday.

She watched professional show-jumpers for
nearly two hours from her third-row $35,000-per-season table at the
Palm Beach International Equestrian Center’s VIP club.

The Material Girl managed to go practically incognito behind thick dark glasses and under an orange baseball hat with a Che Guevara-like silhouette of her on the front.

The few fans who recognized the singer of Papa Don’t Preach were shooed away by show ground owner Mark Bellissimo’s red-shirted goons.

Minding their own business at nearby tables: Morning talk-show host Kelly Ripa (Live with Regis and Kelly) and CNN prime-timer Lou Dobbs.

Guy Ritchie Skis Away From Madonna With Rocco

 - Guy Ritchie Skis Away From Madonna With Rocco

Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie took 8-year-old son Rocco skiing at New Jersey's Camelback Mountain Resort on January 24.

The bundled-up father-and-son pair worked on their technique, then
hit the slopes. Rocco stuck close by his father throughout the
excursion.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that Ritchie, 40, accompanied his ex-wife Madonna, 50, son David Banda, 3, Madge's daughter Lourdes, 12, and Rocco to the New York Kabbalah Centre earlier the same day.

Apparently, after an hour with Madonna, Ritchie took David and Rocco to the New Jersey ski resort.

A source tells the Mail that Ritchie and Madonna's quickie divorce, which was settled in November, became official on January 7.

The Material Matron is said to want her boys schooled in the States. Guy would rather they were taught in the UK

Are the exes spending time together to work out some sort of compromise? Or is Guy planning to snatch the kids?

Why is Madonna horsing around in Palm Beach?

Madonnahorses It may come as no surprise to her millions of fans to find out that Madonna likes horses.

She's certainly got the legs for riding.

But polo ponies? Whacking little balls around with a wooden mallet?

Wait, I'm starting to see the appeal ...

Seems the freshly free Madonna may soon be watching a bit of polo at
the hoity-toity, upper-crusty FTI Wellington Equestrian Festival at the
Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

According to my old friend Sharon Robb at the Sun-Sentinel newspaper in Fort Lauderdale, Madonna has been working with British riding coach Daisy Trayford at the SF multimillion-dollar 14-ring facility.

Madonna was rumored to make an appearance at Sunday's $50,000
Equisport Agency Grand Prix.  She was spotted by Dish Rag spies at the
Equestrian Center this weekend, checking out the scene but mentioned
she might not make an appearance in the stands due to press and
photographers.

According to Robb's report, Trayford has worked with Madonna since she purchased two horses from Trayford’s Exmoor Eventing.

If she does come to some events, she won’t be lonely.

Robb sez rocker Bruce Springsteen may attend to watch his daughter Jessica and Big Apple Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg could turn up to see daughter Georgina. CNN chatter Lou Dobbs might come to watch daughter Hillary.

All three girls are 2012 Olympic equestrian hopefuls. Who knew?

Can Madonna’s daughter Lourdes be next on a polo pony? And will Alex Rodriguez join Madge at the polo grounds? Or perhaps that new Brazilian model named Jesus Luz she's been romantically linked with?

So many questions ...

Ritchie joins family at Kabbalah center

Filmmaker Guy Ritchie has quashed rumors his lack of enthusiasm for Madonna's faith played a role the breakdown of their marriage after spending time
in a New York Kabbalah center with the singer and their three kids.

Snatch
director Ritchie was the first to arrive at the centre on Saturday,
with Madonna and the children joining him shortly after wards as the
family put on a united front.

Ritchie stayed in the building for
more than an hour, leaving with his son Rocco, eight, and adopted son
David Banda, three, while 12-year-old Lourdes - Madonna's daughter from
a previous marriage - left later with her mother.

A source tells
WENN, "Guy was smiling and in good spirits and seems to still spend
time with Madonna as a family. Perhaps he's even still practicing
Kabbalah."

Last year, when Ritchie and Madonna were splitting,
the pop star's brother, Christopher Ciccone, blamed Kabbalah for the
break-up, and the moviemaker confessed he was puzzled by the faith.

He said, "It's a complicated subject... I don't really understand Kabbalah as a religion or a belief system."

The former couple's divorce was made official earlier this month.
