Hardy In Awe Of Madonna
British actor TOM HARDY was so starstruck after meeting MADONNA on the set of ROCKNROLLA, he hid in a car to escape the pop superstar.
Director Guy Ritchie introduced the Inception star to his then-wife while they were filming the 2008 crime thriller, but Hardy admits he was so in awe of the singer, he couldn't look her in the eye.
He tells Britain's Now magazine, "She left me starstruck. I did what anyone who can't deal with the situation does: I went and hid in the Range Rover.
"I was sort of prepping for the scene in there and someone said hello to me and it was her - she'd somehow managed to get into the back of it!
"Then we had a conversation, which I've completely blacked out because there she was like the Mother Mary in the boot (back) of the f**king Range Rover and I was completely starstruck."
But Hardy insists he wasn't attracted to the star: "She's just someone's mum to me and she looks like a ghost. I didn't see her as a sexual creature. There was a time when I really would've gone there but since (she appeared in) the Justin Timberlake video, leaping over cars and things, I just think: 'Enough now.'

Superstar performer Madonna has slipped on her director's hat once again, this time for W.E., a depiction of the romance between King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.

It must have been a little nerve racking being directed in a fashion shoot by the Queen of Pop.
But for Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen, the new face of Madonna and her daughter Lourdes' Material Girl clothing line, it all seemed a bit of a breeze.
And in typical fashion, Madonna took charge of the Manhattan shoot, taking photos herself and directing Taylor on how to pose for the snaps.
Madonna's 13-year-old daughter Lourdes, nicknamed Lola, was also on hand to help out.
'Lola was here all day and she helped style the shoot and I worked with her to put the outfits together. She's a sweetheart,' said Taylor, who plays Jenny Humphrey on the U.S. TV series.
Madonna, who was dressed all in black, was taking a break from directing her first feature film W.E. about the life of Wallis Simpson which has begun shooting in London.
'I'm psyched to be the face of Material Girl,' said Taylor, who is currently taking a break from Gossip Girl to tour with her band The Pretty Reckless.
'It's awesome. For one, it's Madonna so it's gonna be cool and it's really an awesome experience so far.
'She's very down to earth for all her success so it was good to see that.'
Taylor also called Madonna a 'cool mom' after working with her on the shoot.
'I was ecstatic to be asked. It's such an honour,' Taylor told Women's Wear Daily.
'It's Madonna. I was kind of shocked. She's amazing. She was very down to earth.
'It was nice to see after all her success, she's still very grounded.
'She definitely has a vision and was very hands-on. It was really easy working with her.
'She's very comfortable to be around — very professional but a lot of fun.'
Taylor revealed her favourite pieces from the collection, which is aimed at young girls, are 'all the bandeaus.'
The Material Girl brand will debut next month at Macy's in New York.
It will then be available in Macy's stores across the U.S.
The collection consists of clothes, footwear, handbags, jewellery and accessories.
The 51-year-old recently revealed that she decided to partner up with her 13-year-old daughter Lourdes on their Material Girl collection because she wanted to be sure what was 'cool' in fashion and what wasn't.
She told USA Today: 'Since I have a few careers going I decided I wasn't going to get into designing this line myself.
'No question, Lola seemed the perfect choice. She is really doing most of the work. She shows me things and I go 'that's cool' or 'that's not cool'.
We both go to business meetings. We exchange ideas, talk things out and even disagree about things, though rarely.'
Maybe it's just as well Madonna is taking more of a designing backseat as she's certainly been making some questionable fashion choices recently.
Last weekend she was spotted leaving Aura nightclub in the early hours of the morning wearing an oversized 80s style tracksuit, polka dot shirt and her favourite blue fedora.
Then at the beginning of this week she was sporting some super long black jogging bottoms, bunched up around her ankles, a black leather jacket and once again, her beloved hat.
Madonna is currently in London whilst she works on her directorial debut, W.E, which has been described as 'a two-tiered romantic drama'.
It focuses both on the affairs between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson and by comparison a contemporary romance between a married woman, Wally Simpson, and a Russian security guard.

Madonna and daughter Lourdes "Lola" Leon recently launched their clothing line – Material Girl – and the face of the brand, "Gossip Girl" star Taylor Momsen, said the pair are very hands on.
"Lola was here all day and she helped style the shoot and I worked with her to put the outfits together. She's a sweetheart," Taylor said for an interview with Material Girl Clothing. "Madonna came a little bit later and she's totally awesome. She's very down to earth for all her success so that was… it was good to see that."
Taylor revealed that Madonna even leant her hand to the styling of the clothing shoot.
"Madonna totally came in and intervened and re-did everything and positioned everything and put it into her own vibe," Taylor said. " I think we [have] a very good working relationship… I think it went well."
The actress, who is taking a break from "Gossip Girl" while she tours with her band, The Pretty Reckless, said fronting the brand, available next month at Macy's, is something she is thrilled to do.
"I'm psyched to be the face of Material Girl," Taylor said. "It's awesome. For one, it's Madonna so it's gonna be cool and it's really an awesome experience so far. We just finished shooting and the clothes are awesome."

London, July 27: It seems Madonna loves Britain even after splitting with her husband Guy Ritchie, and that's why she's directing her new flick 'W.E.
The pop diva lived in England during her marriage to Guy Ritchie, 41, but moved back to New York when they divorced in 2008.
"Guy says she talks about their home in Wiltshire, the kids and their friends in London. She seems nostalgic for her old life," the Daily Star quoted an inside source as saying.
"She had built up a big circle of friends and fell in love with London.
"She'll always love New York but she feels more at ease in London. What it comes down to is that Madonna just feels quite alone. The person she spends most time with is her daughter Lourdes but she's desperate for more adult company," added the insider.

Teaming her super-long black jogging bottoms with a leather jacket and her favourite trilby hat, Madonna looked decidedly unglamorous as she left the set for the day.
